RootsChat 'Dublin Meet'
« on: Thursday 14 June 07 12:24 BST (UK) »
Hi all you lovely Rootschatters, I was just chatting to Christopher about the meet and thought it would be great if he had an idea of exactly how many people are definitly travelling to Dublin for it, and have booked already etc, it would make organising a venue for the Friday night easier if he has definite numbers, so would you all be so kind as to add your name here only as a reply to this post as the topic seems to be scattered around the boards and its giving me a headache trying to figure it all out  dont know about anyone else giggles !!  if your a definite let him now so we can get organising, look forward to meeting you all, Celtic Damsel  ;D

So many members have posted me apologetic emails regretting that they'll be  unable to attend the Dublin event this year I feel that it might be an idea to cancel this year's meet and have it another time. How many members are interested in meeting in Dublin?

I'm still on for it, but as i said earlier, , i have no interest in Irish genealogy from a personal point, ie, I'm Yorks/Derbys. stock, but living here i would love to meet people with similar interest, Bodger
PS. i would not require accommodation, all i want is a good night out and a bit of craic

Hiya bodger,

That's four of us  then. Any more for the Skylark ??? Celtic Damsel  and her sister taid are still interested.
Mo posted a message on 7th April re a destination for Friday. It's a bit link a mystery tour as she omitted
to name the place :D I'll send a few more emails to the members still on the list to see how many more
are interested.

Thanks Ronnie,

Lets hope some more add their names and Mo lets us know where we are going.
I hope she's all right. She hasn't been online since the 8th of this month.

Thanks for your post Mo.

It's great to see you back in action. I hope you're OK.

A large number have cried off and there are quite a number who've not replied to PMs sent to them.
