A VICK researcher in Australia wrote a letter in 1981 in which she said the following about a trip back to England ,“we were over there last year went to Gloucester Records Office and were privileged to be allowed to go through all the bishop's manuscripts back to the early 1600s.”
She said that she found “Two of the Vick girls were excommunicated because they had bastard children, although these babies were baptised. One of them made respectable a little later as her marriage was registered.”
Is there some online source I could check to determine the dates of the two excommunications or the dates of females with the surname VICK who had out of wedlock births in the early 1600s in Gloucestershire or England ?
