Hi Richard,

Are you trying to trace them back, or were you searching for relatives?

If the former, then could you post the 1901 census details for the Shephards, and tell us more about Hannah Swaine?  :) :)

Thanks for PM, Richard  :)

This should be Hannah:

1891
RG12/3590 18 29
Halifax, Yorkshire
10 Westfield Place

William Swaine, head, 32, b. Halifax
Blanche R, wife, 25, Solicitor (I suppose this should be in the line above), b. do.
Hannah, dau, 6, b. do.
Blanche N, dau, 3, b. do.
Clara Benson, serv, s, 18, General servant domestic, b. York

1901
RG13/4121 26 6
Halifax, Yorkshire
19 Akeds Rd

William Swaine, head, 42, Solicitor, employer, b. Halifax (as all others)
Blanche R, wife, 36
Hannah, dau, 16
Blanche N, dau, 13
Elsie G, dau, 7
Isaac James Parish, boarder, s, 26, Living on own means

 :)

As to Julia Edith Green, I think she was Hannah's aunt. There is one Julia Edith Green on the 1901 census for Halifax, age 28 born Halifax, married to a Percy Stanley Green.
Searching the marriage index, I see a marriage Percy Stanley Green - Julia Edith Moore

And searching for a marriage between a William Swaine and a Blanche, there's Jun 1882 Halifax:
William Swaine - Blanche Rhodes Moore
