Thanks for that! But the key here is me finding Thomas's father, William. As soon as I can find something out about him, such as his wifes name. Then im sure I will unlock many Stevensons throughout the county.

Has Great Bowden always been Leicestershire? And how far is it from the border of Northamptonshire?
