New to this site so hope I'm doing this right!
Looking for John Alfred Caswell born Wales (Cardiff) 1889.
Emigrated to S.Africa approx. 1916.
Record of birth in order to trace his parents would be very useful.

John Caswell 1888 Dec quarter  11a 256 Cardiff Glamorganshire/Monmouthshire

The only John Alfred Caswell 1889 was born St germans Cornwall

Hi Pam
Many thanks for your trouble.  As far as I can see the John born in Cardiff died shortly after birth and same applies to the John Alfred in Cornwall.
The only information I have is from his death cert in 1937 which states John Alfred born 1889 Wales.  At that time it says that both his parents are deceased but gives no names - Typical!
Not sure where I can go from here but thank you again for your efforts.
