At least 2 of Mary Elizabeth Hammond's 3 sisters stayed in Ireland. They were Nellie Hammond and Florrie Hammond. As far as I can tell neither Nellie nor Florrie were married.
I don't have dates of birth for Nellie and Florrie but would guess that they were born 1860 - 1870 in Dublin. My father has told me that Florrie was still alive in 1949, by which time she was living in Belfast. Apparently there was a much older lady living with her, who was said to be 100 yrs old i.e. born around 1849ish! I don't know who the older lady could have been. It wasn't Florrie's mother, Agnes Templeton, because she is recorded as being already deceased on Mary Elizabeth Hammond's 1918 death certificate.
I don't know what became of the 3rd sister, Georgina Hammond. All I know about her is that she was born 10 Aug 1870 at Rathmines, Dublin.
Hope you enjoy a challenge!
