I'm trying to locate family of a Wilson SUMMERS who lived in Fraserburgh possibly up to the late 1920's.

As don't know any more details, think worth you checking this one on Scotland's People to see if parents names match your records.

I just don't know when the photo was taken other than pre '28 probably because the lady in front on the grass moved to Canada then.

Doing my sums, I suppose 'your' man might fit.

Sorry can't help with the photo fraid but if you know his parents details then you can certainly confirm it with that death cert one way or other. There are other Wilson's there but the dates just didn't fit.

your wilson summers was born 7/8/1854 and christened on the 9/9/1854 at rathen, aberdeen.


would be a good idea to ask for the 1861 census for your wilson.

was your wilson's father called wilson?

if so wilson was born 1832

more research with the igi's say that your wilson was the son of wilson and elizabeth third.

elizabeth third was the daughter of william and martha buchan, born 1832 rathen.

she married wilson on the 21/10/1852, rathen.

Elizabeth Summers Head Married aged 28 Seaman's Wife
William aged 8
Wilson aged 6
Rachel aged 3
John aged 1

Looks like dad was away at sea when census was done!
