OATES Sheffield 1841/1851 lookup

I am trying to find out about a Benjamin Oates (born 1812) married to a Harriet Ogden. They lived in Darnall, Sheffield in 1861 with many of their children, Ben (1847), Easter (1851), Caroline (1855), Arthur (1853), Maria and Charles (1855).
I would like to find out what this family were doing in 1841 or 1861, or even earlier if anyone can discover them in other records.
I'd be very grateful for any help!!

Hi Racey,

I note on the Sheffield Indexers site there is a Benjamin and Harriet OATES living at Kitting Croft, Sheffield on the 1841 census Piece 1334/3 Folio 43b. He is aged 30 and Harriett also 30. Mentioned at the same address is Ann 9, Emma 7, Albert 6, Thomas 3 and Charles 1. I wonder if these are yours.

The married on Monday 31st March, 1834, he was a miner:

The Sheffield Independent, and Yorkshire and Derbyshire Advertiser (Sheffield, England), Saturday, April 05, 1834; Issue 691. 19th Century British Library Newspapers: Part II.

Category: Birth, death, marriage notices:

Same day (Monday), at the Parish Church, Mr. Benjamin Oates, miner to Miss H. Ogden.
