Hi  everyone,

Confusions are easily done when research such a vast area.

Your reply 2 above clearly stated that "Their son James Young  1736 Married Elizabeth Wiltshire of Liddington."  I think this is where I got confused.

Never mind we have that bit right now.

As for Charles marrying Elizabeth that could well be right.  I have him as marrying a Sarah, but looking at my files that is not a guaranteed name.
Perhaps as you say it was Elizabeth Robbins as I have details of her marrying an Unknown and having a dau Emily.
It is probably the case the unknown was in fact Elizabeth and their children were Emily as well as Albert 1892 Rose 1894  George  1896 and Annie 1898

Perhaps As Sarah was only a probability it could have been Elizabeth (known as Sarah) which does happen or Sarah was totally wrong.

Let me know what you think of this supposition.

Hello.  This may be a long shot but I noticed on one of your posts a James Huish.  Could this be the same James Huish that I have?
James Huish born 1818 Ashwick, married Mary (maiden name unknown) and had three children - Martha Lewis Huish b1841, Thomas B P Huish b1844 and Ann Arabella b1849. James was a Blacksmith.

Don't know James Huish parents - I know quite a bit about Ann Arabella, I can help with her.

Would love to know more...
Regards
Clare

I suggest you have a look at freereg, which lists the marriage of this couple (James HUSH and Mary PERRY) at Midsomer Norton  in 1839.

Their first son was Thomas Benjamin Perry HUISH, almost certainly named after his maternal grandfather Benjamin PERRY.

You will also find baptisms for both Mary and James on freereg, both in 1817; one in Ashwick and the other in Midsomer Norton.  Look for James under the variant spelling of HEWISH: his father was also a blacksmith.

I think you'll find that Mary's parents were Benjamin PERRY and Martha MARCHANT, married at Chilcompton in 1806. Mary had two brothers - George and John.

I hope this helps with your research.

Kind regards
