Hullo to all who have replied. I'm afraid I don't see how I can do it
individually so please forgive this group 'hug'.
To Jane, I apologise for the locked file, I must have done that in error.
Thank you for the information on the marriage of Susannah, she certainly
could be the wife. There was only one reference to 'Susan' in an address.
To Daisy Petal, thanks for your welcome

This could certainly be his family, although he didn't seem to know that he
might have had a son who would have been born after his imprisonment.
The age of the daughter fits.
To Stuizzy, thanks for the website and yes, I have all the Fremantle Prison
information. Edward and Ann (Ralph) had 8 children in Western Australia,
so it appears he 'married' her here. (I am in Western Australia!).
His records showed that he had a wife and child, and the prison has cheated
a little and retrospectively called her 'Ann' because she was his wife here.
Edward wrote letters to his 'Dear Wife' from the prison, and referred to
a daughter perhaps called 'Fanney'. (writing very difficult to read in places).
There was a photocopy of something that could have been an envelope address;
to "Mrs Susan Langridge Thuram Kent near Seven Oaks", and another part said,
"try Hiedeu Kent near Tumbridge".
I wonder what happened to Susan and the children, as she did not reply to
his letters. He makes reference to that in his letters, as he pleads with her to
go and see the 'gentlemen' and have them prove his innocence! He continually asked her to come out to Western Australia, but it appears she didn't.
Edwards parents were possibly Joseph and Binni (Pinner) Langridge.
Thank you all for your researching so far
Rozzy
