Hi,

Does anyone know if Kelly's directories were published during the second world war? A Lawrence family related to my husband were resident in Dunmow's Queen Victoria,at that time but I need verification as to who was named as the publican.

Many thanks,

Frances

I wonder did you ever find out Frances? - I am never very sure where best to go for information about the various  commercial directories, including Kelly's -    where do you search please Dear Reader?

There are links to Kelly's directories from the University of Leicester's website between about 1882 and 1914 for Essex https://specialcollections.le.ac.uk/digital/collection/p16445coll4
