According to the 1851 Census for Thimbleby Lincs.my gt.gt.g'father Richard ROLLINSON'S wife Elizabeth formerly GREPWELL was born in BETINGAH which I cannot find on Lincolnshire map nor any ref. on the web. Can anybody help?
Elizabeth's mother was born Dexthorpe.

1861 doesnt help - she claims Horncastle .....

Cant see anything similar in the Horncastle District - might be what the Enumerator 'heard' - hopefully somebody with local knowledge will be able to help ....

OK, Dexthorpe is in the locality of Spilsby.. Look at maps around there for a likely place.
Did you look at the original image or rely on transcription?
Can you give the ref(s) so that anyone else can give an opinion on what it might read?

The original page looks like Betingah, maybe Belingah ...

They can be found in Thimbley 1851 transcribed Rellinson

1861 in Horncatle - Elizabeth is using Betsey ... but PoB Horncastle

Without chasing Elizabeth in other censuses - how about Billinghay?

Looking at the person in the house before - GRESSWELL - seems a more likely name than GREPWELL to me (it's the way they did their esses).

apart from the fact she's using ANN in 1871, Billingay is spot-on !

Knew you'd be along Geoff  :D

They were Rawlinson in 1871 - and Billingay was a direct transcription from that year    ;)

I wondered if she was a 2nd wife when I first looked earlier on, but with Geoff's input it seems right ?
