hello,i'm wondering if anyone could help me,i hope to be visiting leafield in the next week or so and would like to know if any of my ancestors are buried in the churchyard there,my great grandfather,john townsend his wife jane(nee pratley) and his grandparents benjamin and charity pratley(nee townsend).john was born around 1858 and benjamin and charity were married just after he was born.i know it looks wrong but john's mother did marry a pratley and so did john,complicated isn't it hoping to here from someone thankyou josie

I have parish register for Leafield. Have found John and Janes marriage 13/10/1877 also Benjamin and Charity 19/7/1858.
Found children for John and Jane. Let me know if you need them. Will look for burials.

Burials at Leafield started 1812.

hitoby, thankyou very much for reply my grandad was walter townsend,i would be grateful if you could give me the names of his brothers and sisters,because he moved to derbyshire i only knew of 1 sister and 1 brother living in the london area and if possible i would like to know if his parents are buried at the church in leafield thanks again toby best wishes josie

John and Jane Townsend had the following children.
Clare Louisa bapt 20/10/1878. On the 3rd October 1905 Clare Louisa Townsend aged 27 married William John Moody aged 28 sonof Thomas.
George Townsend bapt 20/3/1881
Charity bapt 25/5/1882
Walter Townsend bapt 20/4/1884
Sarah Jane Townsend bapt 199/9/1886. On the 25/5/1907 Sarah Jane aged 21 married Albert Shayler aged 26
Annie Townsend bapt 16/12/1888. On the 17/1/1911 Annie Townsend married Edwin Smith aged 26 son of William.
Francis Richard Townsend bapt 17/8/1890
Charles Townsend bapt 12/10/1892.
