Anyone know of Charlie Bishop?

I am trying to find what happened to Charles Henry Bishop between 1925 & his death in 1974 aged 65. He was born 16th December 1908 to Charles Henry & Mary Helen Bishop in Buckland, Portsmouth, England. Charles Henry (junior) came to Flock House, near Bulls New Zealand in the 5th draft to learn farming skills. He sailed from Southampton to New Zealand aboard the S.S. Hororata. After he left Flock House presumably at the end of 1925 nothing was heard of him until his death was recorded in Auckland Public Hospital in 1974. He was cremated at Waikumete & his ashes scattered. Going by hospital records, his next of kin was hospital board. His death registration states "not known whether married"
Is there any kind person able to steer us in the right direction to be able to find what Charles Henry Bishop did or where he was in those 49 intervening years?

Thank you for that Bren. That sounds quite a good clue doesn't it?The date would make Henry 24 at that time. I am doing this for a friend who lives in England & Henry is his uncle. Any more ideas of what I do next? I really appreciate your input .

Hi Angel,

No this is not Cat but I would be very interestad to hear anything anyone may know that could lead to what happened to Charles Henry Bishop (as above) There was another of the same name who was an accountant in Auckland but after having got a copy of his marriage certificate to Mabel Keyte, we discover it is definitely not the one we are seeking.

I look forward to hearing more. I had nearly given up!
