PRUE M - ] My Wm. Frederick Bonsall was born/ch in 1823 Hyde Lane Cheshire, married Elizabeth Pegg 1841 Hull,  to Canada 1846.
I was dating photo by her parents photo  they lived there before leaving England.
His parents are Wm. Frederick Bonsall  b. 1801 Notts & Elizabeth Litton; g.parents -  Wm. F.Bonsall, b.1774 Derby+Julianna Evans.  Does that fit yours?   ml

Hi Quarrywood,
                            You have done a good job but you need to scan in
    Colour mode not in Grayscale or B&W.  I know it sounds daft but a
   colour scan picks up far more digital information.  Of course if the information
     is not there in the first place then it won't make any difference, but yours
    would appear to be good. Please try it and let us compare the two.

Hi  here is an interpretation for you as it seems to be pixelating quite badly despite the resolution ..  I would suggest you follow Tomkins advice and repost a better version for us ... it may be that you have been saving the original too many times. As a jpeg it will lose digital information each time you do that .. Hence the reason we usually alwayd make a duplicate to work on !.
anyway ... I 've made it into a couple of  paintings for you .. to add to your collection ;)

Scan your photos at 300 to 600 ppi for best results
