Can anyone do a search for me on canadian passenger lists i am trying to find out when George alto Cherry came to England should be around 1870-1886ish got him in1891 census living in Plumstead rd.

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/RdLeaflet.asp?sLeafletID=106#1 - info on ship lists into England from 1878.  Short version: no, it's more or less impossible to look for someone during such a long time-scale because these records are not indexed.  The catalogue now indexes inward ships by name and where they came from, etc, so if you could narrow it down much more (like, he arrived in early 1884), you might be able to at least get a list of ships coming from Canada in that time.

All I could definately say was between 1884-1885 because I am almost certain he gets licensed to be a doctor in England from 1885.
