At Mayfield,11 Mar 1823,daughter of James & Hannah.

Caroline Field,3 May 1848 daughter of Mary Field, Union House,Uckfield

Mary Ann Field,22 Jan 1845,daughter of Mary a Single woman,Union House,Uckfield.

Thanks ever so much. Seems like Mary Ann also died (Q1 1849), again about 4. What a dreadful story.

Mary Ann Field,aged 4,17 Feb 1849

Caroline Field,aged 5,9 Jan 1853

There is also this little one

John Field,aged 1,27 Dec 1843

After all that success last week, i'll chance my luck with another (big) question) 

The Little Horsted Mews became the main Sussex heartland (260 descendants, 170 with surname Mew).

It seems to me the Little Horsted bunch came from Framfield but i've got no proof.....

To add a bit to Mary Field's story ...

A John Field was born to Mary Field of Five Ashes (no husband.)
He was baptised at Hadlow Down St Mark on 23 Jul 1843.

It would seem that Mary had moved to Uckfield by the time young John was buried at Holy Cross on 29 Dec 1843.

And as mentioned before, her next two were born while she was living at Union House in Uckfield and were buried at ages 4 and 5 at Holy Cross.
