FINDLAY-1841 census lookup please

Hi,

Looking for George Findlay and wife Ann residing in Cullen with children, Margaret,Elsbet,James,John,George,Alexander,Anne and William. George and Ann would have been abt 58y.o. and 54y.o. in 1841.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Wendy, The 1841 census for Banffshire has just gone online at Rootsweb free cen.

I had a quick look for George Findlay.

Census taken Cullen
Address, Sea Town

George Findlay age 54, Grocer, born Banffshire
Ann age 56 born Banffshire
Ann age 17 born Banffshire

Hi Wendy,
William and Margaret (Addison) Findlay immigrated to Canada from Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland in 1867.
Their daughter Elizabeth MacBeth Findlay was my gggrandmother.  Elizabeth (Betsy) had one brother John and perhaps a sister??  That's the extent of my knowledge on this family - would love to know more.  Information I have is taken from Margaret's headstone here in Canada, and Betsy's marriage record.  Betsy was born Oct. 2/1855, d: 1910
