Elizabeth JONES (TEAKLE) death look up please

Can I please have a death look up please for Elizabeth Jones nee Teakle wife of Charles Jones
Date unknown but after 1850

Sorry about giving you the kids that you already had - I made the presumption that 1850 was the last you had seen of her.

Do you have Charles death certificate? this will list the names of his children which would probably include the two baptized in the two years following the marriage.  It will also indicate if any of his children are deceased by 1875.
It will also give an idea of when he may have came to Australia.

Elizabeth may have remarried.   Have you checked to see if she is buried with her husband?

While looking for deaths / marriages for George & Harriet I spotted this death - which has no matching birth registration.

Charles JONES died 1854, aged 6 weeks, father Charles, mother Elizabeth
Birthplace shown as Moorabbin, where Francis & Sophia were registered.

I'm sorry, the names are just too common to pick any marriages for them, and I cannot find deaths either, so they have probably popped over the border into NSW (which you can search yourself free online)

The index's do not give parents names so it would be extremely difficult for anyone to find their marriages .

Frank Jones was single and I have his death cert

Do you have any other death certificates? If so  don't they have marriage deatails on them.
please give us more to work on  You  do  obviously  have a  bit more information to relay to us.

Parents are unknown on the index  - about the same time there is a John Jones of a similar age and a Julia Jones (around 30ish) dying in the same place.   Usually the death certificates are filled out by a Constable who attends the inquest, often they do not bother to put details on - one gets vague things like 'married, particulars unknown'.   The actual inquest documentation may give further information, or the hospital and burial  records.

I finally got the death certificate for the Elizabeth Jones mentioned who died in 1892 Beechworth.

The reason I got it was because the age could have fitted and could not find any other death that matched.

The death cert stated married, no husbands name given  and no other details unfortunately re children.

So now will have to get the coroners report but it still may not eliminate her.

I was concerned it didnt have children mentioned but it is possible she was estranged from her children

These two would cover the time that your Elizabeth was there
Unit 1, 21 Aug 1878 - 29 Mar 1892 (PDF file, 33.1 MB)
Unit 2, 29 Mar 1872 - 18 Jan 1904 (PDF file, 42.0 MB)

Unit 2 has a list of inmates in alphabetical order in the first few pages but I couldn't see an Elizabeth Jones.  Unfortunately, from what it says (if I have read correctly) the first lot are not indexed at all.  They are big files and take a while to down-load so I didn't go any further.  I think you'll need a free afternoon and a cup of tea and a biscuit or two to go through them.

The one or two I looked at are quite detailed and do have information about family etc.  As Christine said, in an earlier post, death certificates for people in institutions can be very limited when the informants don't have much information.
