I don't think we have funeral cards,I have attended four funerals in my family.I have  never seen one,i have heard of them though. Do they give any useful information besides the Date and year of death. I have always been curious :)

Hi Celia,
 Just a quick query-you said in the post your dad was born 1909, but you avatar (great pic by the way  :D) says 1901. I just thought I'd point it out in case it's an error on your avatar you hadn't spotted.  :)

A card i never took much notice of before turned out to be the baptism card of my dad Cecil.Who was born 2 weeks before mum in 1909,

I've got mine around here somewhere, but no-one else's.  I did also have one for my confirmation, but the nasty family history fairies who don't want me doing this all day stole it so I don't have it any more. :(
Currently engaging in a one-name study of the Twyman surname.

They don't necessarily give much information, but they have given me some dates of death and/or burial and where buried for relatives that I didn't have, the really old ones especially.
