Miss Marple

Have you the Hall's in any other census? if so, where? when?

Their is no name index for 1841!
consequently
Someone will have to do a manual trawl of Barking? but if you have an address that you obtained from the 1851 it will help and might encourage someone to look for you?

Hi Bryant,
Joseph and Eliza got married in Chigwell Essex 16.10.1842. Census 1851 shows they lived in woodford at 36 Woodford Bridge. Joseph is from Barking, Eliza from Woodford. I don''t know where they worked and lived before 1842. Could be Barking, Chigwell or Woodford.
Eliza's father is ofcourse Joseph Pool(e) and not Joseph Halls. So, if there's anyone out there who's willing to look through the 1841 Essex census for me I would be very grateful!
thank you.

"Normally" marriage certs have the address/s of the happy couple at time of marriage!
I gather that you are saying the addresses are not on the marriage cert of the 16/10/1842 ? and all that is there is Barking & Woodford.

I will have a look in Chigwell for you

Saw your enquiry for Woodford. 1841 census HO107/323/4/54 shows Joseph Halls at Fence Piece Cottage, Gt Ilford, Barking, Essex with sister Sarah 20, brothers James 15, and Jacob 12.
also Eliza Pool(e) with father Joseph a post labourer was a sawyer age 75, Elizabeth age 20 (note not Eliza) needlewoman, brother Charles age 1, sisters Emily age 3 and Harriet age 2 at ref HO107/323/23/13 all born in the County of Essex.
Hope this is of some help. Was not sure if you were seeking the brothers and sisters of the parents which is really difficult without the parish registers which can be viewed through The Society of Genealogists for a fee or a number of records are in transcript at Essex libraries:
