Your Oval's from Ongar, does that include  a Joseph Ovall born c 1850?

Hi Tina,
I deal with the history of Noak Hill which is a small hamlet some six miles to the south of Ongar. One of the farm labourer's in 1901 was a Joseph Ovall who was living in the Noak Hill area with his family at the time of that census. I will have a look for information about him, his family and other Ovall's who lived, went to school, worked, married and died in the area for you.

For a starter, have you by chance any books that show pictures of Noak Hill in it as there is one picture that shows a young girl and a farm hand who is holding a plough horse standing in the road. The man is Bob Ovall.
