Linda, it is very nice to have another pair of eyes reading the records. I couldn't make that marriage record out at all but it is now plain as day, of course  ;D.

Great find J.J.!

There is a burial for a Jean Pin, aged about 50, 23 May 1758, in the same parish as the marriage.

Witnesses to the marriage look to me to be Joseph Dube, father of the groom, who signed the register, Pierre Dube, uncle of the groom, and ? Marie St Pierre, brother of the bride (can't make out his first name).

 Here is some work done on the Martin Langlois/ Marie Louise Paquet but looking back through to descendants it eventually contradicts our findings...The Mars Comtois is a hard one to follow... Please do not use the information in this reply as concrete as all information needs to be verified will erase later
Copy& paste if you  wish to view

Now here the parents are noted for Marie Louise PAQUET as being
Jacques PAQUET,   b. 14 Sep 1675, Charlesbourg, QC,
* Mary Francis STEVENS,   b. Abt 1675 England  ::)
Mar 1764, Québec, QC,  ( but polar bear has found her as clearly stating Styves)

Other sites have her as Styves which is thought to be name of places family originated... St. Yves (France)
also this same site has a different descendant  ::)

will look in later to see what's what

I think it would be prudent at this point to take a breather to allow josenrab the chance to digest what we have found so far. There is quite a bit to take in.

Thankyou

I am going to have a long hard look at all this info over the weekend, and as you say try and digest it all.  Then forward these finding over to my Auntie, for her to have a look as well, I havent managed to get hold of her over the  last couple of days, so this is going to come as a very very big and wonderful suprise to her.

You have all been so amazing with all this help.

Thanks once again,
Joanne
