The very last name seems to come up as mostly German...  Here are some Comptoir in Chambly County 1852  transcribed as Comptois? However the closer I look the more I see that there are distinct "s" and "r" in the various members of the household so likely was a tossup for transcribers...

Then there are the Dit Comptois of which there are thousands...so perhaps this is the correct spelling? The dit name can mean "of" or "from" as in "of the town/area of" but it can also "know as"....a confusing thing for researchers...
i'll look around for more...hubby has a book on earlier census, may find something in there...

 I found a marriage! Good start as her surname is here as Meurs and her first name as Eusele which makes more sense. Married Montreal 1840, Garrison Anglican Church

Unfortunately, parents names are not on the original marriage record for Samuel and Eusebe, but the record above is a very close match to your information.

If you think this may be her, I'll try and find the parents' marriage for you.

eventually, MARS CONTOIS...might be another version of the name

The husband's name may now also be under Mars, Meurs, Mers, Murs etc...but sans the dit ( there is also St. Mars/ du mars de Mars then remove the "s" or add an "r" etc....and who knows if hers might have an additional title added...but you have a date, which is cool...

awe...She died so young... I think death dates are only as accurate as the person who declares the information is knowledgeable of the information...In other words, for the most part, not too reliable... However censuses have proven to be iffy as well, for the same reason...fibbing or partner not knowing age of spouse...both can only be used as stepping stones...without the parents listed on the marriage, it will be tough to prove...Perhaps the mixed religion marriage prompted them to not bother...too bad

She was named for her godmother (marraine) Eusèbe Mars dit Comptoir. Godfather Nicolas Lipiot. Father was a farmer.
