Aha, the couple is from France and that's why we haven't a marriage...so Pierre actually had the name
Pierre Fournier dit Lapierre Pierre Fournier dit Lapierre arrived from Brittany. A soldier, he was the son of Julien Fournier and Périne Aubin from Saint-Pierre de Rétiers, diocese of Rennes in Brittany. His first marriage, in Lachine on May 18, 1757 was to Catherine Audon-Rochefort, daughter of Bernard Audon-Rochefort and Marie-Josephte Desforges. His second marriage was in Montreal on April 25, 1763 to Suzanne Campagnac, daughter of Louis Campagnac and Marie-Catherine Bernier.
Found no reference to his parents in first marriage
1757 Lachine where he used LaPierre
Pierre FOURNIER LAPIERRE m. Catherine ODON ( a.k.a. Catherine Audon-Rochefort)
Now realize an alternate spelling was used for mother in this first marriage
Julien FOURNIER & Catherine AUBERT *
(*Note perhaps he remembered his wife's surname by mistake thus the Audin for mother in second marriage)
This site has parents' marriage: Julien Fournier/Lapierre et Perrine-Catherine Auber marié le 12 février 1711 à Visseiche Please note that verification may be needed on all linked site information on the thread...
