Ellen was a servant in Withyham in 1861. A visitor at the same address was a William ATTAWAY, aged 21, possibly her brother.

I have now found out that Frederick George Taylor did actually serve in the army in WW2 and not the RAF and was in The Buffs regiment. at one point was based in Southampton.

after the war he lived in Brighton

can someone enlghten me with regards to the Buffs?

another small problem! can anyone find a maariage for Frederick George Taylor between 1945 & 1977 in Brighton?

i do not know his spouse name, the dates i have given are the earliest and latest dates possible i think the marriage was in fact between 1950 & 1970 but i have given years either side just in case.

If no-one has time to look for this you can do it yourself - use the free BMDs on ww.ancestry.co.uk   You can see the images of the pages in the books and search them for each quarter.  It will take quite a time if he does not appear on the FreeBMD site.

thanks, i did look on Freebmd but he didn't pop up.
i have been going through the ancestry pages but it taking a very long time i thought someone might be able to find it easier.
i started on 1945 and i have got to 1950 without finding him, i will look again later and keep people updated as to where i am.
so they are not duplicating / wasting their time

Xristina, i have Freds parents etc but hopefully we can confer notes its after he did a flit we know nothing further on him although i know family tales which may or may not be true.
