Census look-up please - BIDWELL

Hi all

I don't have access to ancestry at home but use my library's copy at the weekend but until then I hope someone can help me out.

I have been trying to find on the indeces 1841-1871

Nicodemus Bidwell bp 1800 at Thorverton, married Melly (Melley) 1823, married for a 2nd time June 1/4 1860 and finally died Mar 1/4 1877

He should be somewhere but where?

I've tried searching on just Nicodemus - nothing  with and without Thorverton or Devon
I've tried searching on Bedwell also - nothing  again with or without Thorverton or Devon

Sorry this is a big ask but if someone can find what name he is hiding under I can fill in the rest on Saturday when I go to the library.

Found in 1871 Census
Nicodemus Bidwell, Head, Age 71 born Thorverton. Employed as Head (?) lab.
Frances, wife age 67, born Morchard Bishop, Devon. No occ. Lived Silver St, Thorverton - no number given.

and there I was thinking he would be so easy to find with a name like that!

I've gone back to Ancestry to see why I can't find hime now I know he's still in Thorverton

on the 1871 ancestry has him down as 'Meodemus'

I bet he's on the 1841 as Nicholas too!
