Mary
Thank you so much! What wonderful pictures! I appreciate that so much. What it must have looked like 100 years ago! I have found out through the marriage certificate of Mary Ruth Slater and James Greer that Mary's father was Thomas Slater as well. So now I have one more Slater to search for. I can only imagine he was born around 1800, if he was 25 years old when he had Thomas. Who knows.....there is a Thomas Slater on the Griffiths Valuation in 1865 or so. Can't remember exactly at this moment....

Thanks again and good hunting!!  :D ;D

Hello Joy,

I know a living descendant of these Slaters "of the Rock"

She is called Peggy Slater married name Ramsay.
If you contact me off list at researchers[at]ulsterancestry.com     replace [at] with @
I will get you her home address.

My greatgrandfather John Thomas Keys (sometimes Kee) was married to Jane Slater although there doesnt seem to be any record of their marriage???  They lived in Ardmore.  I have had information passed on to me that a John Slater married Jane Kelly in Greenbank on 3rd Feb 1870, and a William Kelly married Mary Anne Slater in Greenbank on 26 Oct 1871 although Im not 100% sure if they are related to Jane.  I havent got any other information as yet?

regards
Lin
