Hi Jere,
I don't know if you're still looking after two years, but I'm new to this site and have just seen your post.
Robert Scott born in Ancrum, Roxburghshire, in 1802 or 1803, married a Dinah Edwards (not Diana) in Merthyr and they had assorted kids, grandkids and eventually great-great-great-grandkids like me. Robert died 11.3.1873 in Nelson.
If you want to know more about his descendants, please contact me. Even better if by now you know all there is to know about him and you can tell me!
Scott, Dowdeswell (Merthyr Tydfil), Jones (Loughor and Merthyr Vale), Roberts (Nelson), Prichard (Collenna and Cefn Fforest); Evan Roberts (Corwen and Amlwch); Scott (Pentre); Scott (Ancrum); Thomas (Pantywaun and Bedlinog); Morgan Jones (Ystradfellte); Bowen (Loughor); Jenkins (Bridgend); Thomas Dowdeswell (b. Gloucester, 1829).

Hi Gareth / Jere

I'm also a descendant of Robert Scott and Dina (I didn't know her name was Edwards until I read this thread).

I don't have any more infromation other than what I've got from the censuses - but I'd like to hear from either of you, find out how we're related, and swap notes.
