PHILP - b 1862-1866; 1860 & 1870 censuses

I am looking for Alexander b ca 1862, Robert ca 1864 and David PHILP ca 1866 in censuses before 1880.

In the 1881 Scotland census, they are at Annfield Farm, Inverkeithing, Fife with their uncle, David PHILP and wife Ann (nee LOW) and family; they are listed as born in "America".

Uncle David PHILP was born ca 1822 in Aberdour, son of Andrew PHILP (1790-1839, died Burnthill Dalgety, buried Aberdour) and Isabel HOY; David died at Annfield, Inverkeithing in 1885 and was buried in Aberdour.

Do you have the names of their parents or other siblings?  There is no family group under the name of Philp that matches those brother's names, but if they had a 2nd name, they might have been enumerated by that.  The closest I have found is the following.  If they look plausible, I'll transcribe the family for you.--Genealiza

                  Ellen, 49, b. Scot
                  Andrew, 19, b. Connecticut
                  Robert 14, b. NY
                  John, 12, b. NY
                  William, 12, b. NY

It really doesn't look plausible, does it - given the names and birthdates which I am seeking from the 1881 Inverkeithing, Scotland census - namely:
Alexander PHILP b ca 1862 America
Robert PHILP b ca 1864 America
David PHILP b ca 1866 America

No birth/baptism record has been found for their 'Uncle David' (with whom they were living in Scotland in 1881) but censuses suggest he was born ca 1822 in Aberdour; his death certificate (1885) lists his age as 62 (i.e. b ca 1823) and his parents as Andrew PHILP and Isabel HOY.

Uncle David (b ca 1822/3) had known siblings:
*John b 1815, son of Andrew PHILP & Isabel HAY - he married Elspeth BLYTHE in 1837, and Isabella CLARK in 1871.
*Isabel b 1817, daughter of Andrew PHILP & Isabel HAY

LDS submissions (with Isabel as HOY) suggest that there were other siblings, namely Andrew b 1824, Robert b 1829 and Magdalin b 1831 (all in Inverkeithing)??

PS: PHILP was a name which attracted many variants e.g. PHILIP, PHILLIP and PHILLIPS.
