Thanks for your pms, if you post any queries here, then if I can't find what you're looking for, the other rootschatters will probably be able to help you. (press "reply" at the bottom of this message and a box will come up that you can type your message in)

Did you want Isabel Le Gallez finding on the censuses too? Do you have her marriage certificate showing her age/fathers name?

Good luck with your research

Hi Catherine.
I don't have any info on Isabel except that she was b/a 23/1/1902 and married Joseph on 19/9/1918.

As you have said that John was used instead of Jean what other names were used for Joseph? and James? and Pierre? I know that Betsy was used for Elizabeth.

On the 1871 census these kids were from Elizabeth's first marriage to a Lilly.
Maybe the nieghbour was her mother but i have her last name spelled as Hamon but that may be the wrong spelling.
I don't have a Quer or anything the like..now this is really starting to puzzle me.

I do know that Joseph was illegitimate to Harriet Rachel. I'm starting to wonder if maybe John (jean) was too?
I was told that John (Jean) father was called Pierre but no dates which make it hard and since the were no census before it's like looking for a needle.

Maybe someelse knows more?

Talk soon Simone.

Hi. I'm deperate for ANY information on any Le Patourel's most from Guernsey.
But especially of a James Alfred Le Patourel b/a 1920 d 11/3/1979 married Edith May Duport and of James father Joseph Eli Le Patourel (illegitimate) b/a 1/2/1894 married Isabel Alexander Florence May Le Gallez 1918, Joseph's mother is Harriet Rachel Le Patourel b/a 25/02/1876 (we seem to think that HER father was the father of her child Joseph) Harriet married john Edward Help later.

Sorry for so long a post but i hope someone can help as i'm stuck in the corner.

Thanks Simone

To all that read this post.I have since been given new information and realize that the afore mentioned fathering of Joseph Le Patourel buy his grandfather Jean Le Patourel was not intirely correct.
I apologize if this has offended any readers as it was not my intention to discredit or disrespect any persons living or past.
