Please could someone help me.  ::)

I would very much appreciate a census lookup for the area of St.Andrew the great/less , Cambridgeshire for the year 1861 or 1871.
I am looking for my gggrandfather THOMAS LEE  and wife SUSANNAH LEE who will be living in this area and both should be recorded as being in  their  30's. Hopefully they will have children with them  ;)

Hi Genebugg 66

The 1871 census for Cambridgeshire is not on line as yet, but is expected within the next few days.

When it does come on line I will look for your ancestors - have you got them on the 1891 which IS on line

I also have a Lee family. Hannah Lee married John William Seabrook 1870 St Andrew the Less. Father James Lee a gardener.

Resident in Newmarket Rd., I haven't been able to get anywhere on this line ar present, do you think there could be a connection

Hi Chris in 1066Land

Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I would really appreciate it if you would look on the 1871 census for me when it becomes available online, very kind of you to offer  ;)
I had access to the 1891 census I know they had a son b.1849 St. Andrew the less named William  and a daughter named Anna Maria b. 1850 St. Andrew the great and then came my ggrandfather Alfred Lee b. 1862 St. Andrew the great.
These are the only children i have details of at this time.

again many thanks for you help !

Hi there Geniedi,
Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I am very
interested in your Hannah Lee with father James.
My Lee family are in the 1851 census for St. Andrew the great and also i have births in St. Andrew the less. I do believe that your Hannah could very possibly be connected to my family and i am now about to start looking to see what i can find for you.
I would appreciate any help you can give me. Do you have the marriage cert ? if so could you let me know the address stated where she was living at the time.

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards and thank you again

Hi

Yes I do have the marr  John William Seabrook and Hannah Lee m.4th July 1870  St Andrew The Less. he was a bricklayer at Burleigh St. Father another John William Seabrook, a bricklayer

Hannah Lee age 18 Newmarket Rd., father James Lee a gardener. One of the witnesses was a Mary Ann Lee.

I do not have the birth cert. I found two on Camdex. Not sure which one as the age doesn't quite match, but that doesn't mean it's 100% on the marr cert.
They had  my gt.grandmother Alice Florence Seabrook 3rd July 1879 at 117 Newmarket Rd.

I don't have anything else on the Lee family yet.

Cheers Diane

Hello Dawn
I found two possibles on the 1871 for Cambridgeshire.
Thomas LEE, b Hillmorton, Warwickshire, age 36
 wife Maria Lee
Children Fred Lee, 13, b Rugby, Yorkshire
Mary A. Lee, 10, born Northamptonshire
RG10/1587, ED 16, Folio 100, Page 4.

and then this one with an older age than you indicated, that seems more likely:
LEE, Thomas, 43,b Castle Hedingham
        Susannah. 44, b Cambridgeshire
        Alfred 8, b Cambridgeshire
        Ann 20, b Cambridgeshire
        Annie Lee, 2, granddaughter
        Eliza 10, b Cambridgeshire
        Henry 14, b Cambridgeshire
        William 22, born Cambridgeshire
These are listed on RG10/1589, ED3, Folio 71, Page 23
under Holy Trinity, Cambridgeshire.  Sub-reg. district: St. Andrew the Great.

Hope this is of some assistance.
Grub
Bayley, Dorset, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire and others.
Antrobus, Somerset/Glouster
Skelton, Heslington, Yorkshire
James, Norfolk, and London
Delasalle, London area
Gravett/Grevet, Surrey
Also searching the above in Australia

Hi there Dawn

Here is the FULL and COMPLETE transcription that you requested.

The previous post supplied by 'Grub' omitted the address, their occupations, their relationships and most of all that William was a Cripple.  Their birthplaces are listed as Cambridge not Cambridgeshire

RG 10/ 1589/ Folio 71/ Page 23 – No 2 Floham Street, Cambridge

LEE, Thomas, Head, Marr, 43, Shoemaker, born Castle Hedingham
Susannah. Wife, Marr, 44, born Cambridge
William, Son, Unm, 22, Shoemaker, born Cambridge - Cripple
Ann, Dau, Unm, 20, Shoemaker, born Cambridge
Henry, Son, Unm, 14, Shoemaker, born Cambridge
Eliza, Dau, Unm, 10, born Cambridge
Alfred, Son, Unm, 8, born Cambridge
Annie Lee, Grd Dau, Unm, 2, born Cambridge

I have attached a scan of the enumerators return as I have some doubt about their address - it looks like Floham Street - but I have my doubts
