Thanks Newfy and Isobelruss!
I'm surprised at how the information just floods in! Thank you for your effort.
So working back:
1901 Husband Jesse Hall widower, and daughter Alice at Henton Hampshire, and Daughter Millicent is a scholar in Kensington. Son Herbert possibly in the Navy.
1899 Dec, Deaths, Annie Hall, 50 Watford (confirms 1861 reference, B 1849)
The 1891 Hampshire census should read Ann aged 42, born Fyfield Essex.
(and 1887 onward, children born in Feldbridge Rd, East Grinstead, Sussex)
Marriage between1871 and 1886 say. Age and location unknown.
1881 census falls in this period. no record? aged 32, and Jesse 29
1871 Ann was in service in Paddington, 22, so unmarried (are there any further details on location/employer?
1871, Jesse was u/m 19 private, 67 regiment Hampshire Hinton.
1861 Ann(ie) aged 12 B Fyfield, living at Whitney Green, Fyfield. Jesse aged 9 in Warnford, Alresford.
It would be good to pin down their location/s and any of their parents in 1881 which may indicate where to look for the marriage. Could you spare the time to cast about for them? Some of the family were in Hemel Hempstead at some point... Even if there's nothing further found, you have helped a great deal already, thanks again!
Regards
Geoff
