Could anyone help looking for a
George Gatious (shoemaker) possibly living
in New Grey St - Sunderland aged about 40-45ish

I can't find anyone anywhere with the surname Gatious.

What other information do you have about George??

The closest I can get (so far) in Durham is a family named variously indexed (depending on which site you consult) as Gatous or Gettins - Eleanor aged 50, Elizabeth & Henry aged 10, George aged 5. But no George aged 40 - 45.

many thanks for looking......it is a strange surname i
cant find it on any surname forums anywhere on the net,
but i have it on a birth certificate his daughter Elizabeth as this
on the certificate as her maiden name,and also her marriage
certificate shows him and her with this unusual name,anyway could you send me the entry you mentioned and i will check further.
