Or terribly bad memories!
I found this family in the 1851 but it seemed too ridiculous - just how mobile was this family? - but then I found them again in the 1861 in Battersea so they could be Charles parents!
Anyway, here they are -
1851 - HO107, piece 1659, folio 389, p 8.
Landport, Portsea, Hampshire.
All Pinfold.
Charles, Head, M, 35/55?, Carpenter, b. Middleton Cheney, Northants.
Sarah, Wife, M, 28, b. Chichester, Sussex.
Wiliam, Son, 7, Scholar, b. Worcester.
Charles, Son, 10, Scholar, b.Southampton.
Sarah, Daughter, 9, Scholar, b. Landport.
Samuel, Son, 3mth, b. Landport.
I wonder if William and Charles birthplaces have been mixed up? They have been written down out of age order.
1861 - RG9, piece 370, folio 209, p 35.
George Street, Battersea, Surrey.
Charles Pinfold, Head, M, 46, Carpenter, b. Northampton.
Sarah Pinfold, Wife, M, 40, b. Sussex.
William Pinfold, Son, S, 18, Carpenter, b. Southampton.
Samuel Pinfold, Son, 11, b. Portsmouth.
Anne Pinfold, Daughter, 10, b. Portsmouth.
Lucy Pinfold, Daughter, 5, b. Portsmouth.
Sarah Griffin, Grand-daughter, 3mths, b.Brighton.
What do you think?
