1891 CENSUS LOOK UP PLEASE

Hi

I'm looking for a JANE RYAN born c1870 in ACCRINGTON Lancashire

I have her on the 1881 census living with her mother Bridget at her Aunts address in Oswaldtwistle

and I also have her on 1901 census married to a Alexander Spencer living in Padiham Lancashire with her son and daughter

But seems to have gone missing in 1891  ???

Help!!!

I think you will find her in the Blackburn District Workhouse RG12; Piece: 3408; Folio 147; Page 10, check under the spelling of Rayon.

There's also a 5 week old Stephen Rayon in there, who may or may not be related, also, but I would suspect so.

I ve been looking all day for her i might now be able to find her in 1871 - didnt realise she'd moved to blackburn

Blackburn's not very far away from Accrington, but possibly just far enough away to have a baby without "bringing disgrace on the family" as it were, in those days when they were sent away when matters became obvious.

Yes I agree so I m sending for a birth certificate today for Stephen, I found out that he died age 5 in 1896 as well
