Hi S.K.!
They are my Great Grandparents. I have a copy of their Marriage Certificate (which on the back lists all their children and their dates of birth), and was taken to visit their home (now occupied by others - I have photographs of it) and a photo of their grave in the Old Cemetery at Yea, Victoria, Australia. I have not been able to trck down any photos of them as yet.

I live in Mooroolbark, Victoria.

Warmest regards
Franklyn

Hello Franklyn and S.K.

John Pulford is also being discussed on the suffolk at rootsweb dot com mailing list right now, and there is a possible baptism, 18th May 1817 at Mendlesham Suffolk England been posted there, John son of William and Ann. There are several possible siblings also there and it seems that Ann's maiden name might have been Stebbing.  There is a William Pulford who married a Ann Stebbings on 3rd November 1802 in IGI Batch M012877. http://tinyurl.com/22qh4g I thought this marriage might be in Mendlesham but the IGI seem to indicate Sudbury. If you were able to get to an LDS centre near you again you might be able to establish whether they are your line and also whether they were of
Mendlesham parish when they married or somewhere else.

Regards
Peter

Another Pulford has surfaced---me.My people came from Murrindindi and I was there many times as a youngster to my grand parents property. I am also interested re. any offspring of Samuel's as I suspect my grandfather to be one such.

I posted a message a minute ago but where it is now I know not. Perhaps this will have the same fate.I am a Puldord and my grandfather William lived at Murrindindi so I suspect he may be a son of Samuel. Anybody know?

Franklyn has been in touch and it turns out he is my cousin--long lost (70 years!) Samuel, son of convict John, was my grandfathers(William ) father. William's son Herbert was my dad. MP.
