Manchester has changed a bit since I was last there in about 1962!  I used to go up from Altrincham on the electric train (I understand that line is now used for trams) but despite being almost 21 was only allowed to go in the daytime.  How things have changed, kids of 12 and 13 are out all night now.

Things have certainly changed in Manchester [my birthplace] its a long time since I visited. I remember the days of gas lamps and cobbles and that was on the M6 !.
I shall have to visit again soon
