1851 William Alsop (b.1834)

Hello,

If anyone could tell me details of the household that contained William Alsop (b.1834), I would be grateful.  Pontypool/Trevethin area.  Possibly a mixture of Alsop and Hale.

(I think his mother may have remarried, there's an Elizabeth Hale, mother, living with him in 1881, and what looks like a combined Hale/Alsop household in 1841).

There's 2-3 William Al(l)sop's born mid 1830s, I'm just having a little trouble disentangling them.

Hi Brent
Did you work out the connection between your William Alsop and the Coles that are in the 1851 census?
The Coles here are mine - but are down as 'son'  which I have assumed is an error by the census clerk - unless you have found otherwise!

Hmm, not sure of that, as this is possibly the baptism of William Alsop:-

William Alsop born 14th March 1834 christening 24th June 1834 Weslyan, Varteg Hill, Monmouth Father William Alsop Mother Elizabeth Jenkins.

The Ann Hale birth registered September qtr 1837 Pontypool v25 page 86 has mmn Jenkins
