I've always loved that photo, partly because some of those girls are so beautiful.

Also Ma lost her Mother in 1907. Ma and sister were sent to live with an Uncles family in Southsea . In the 1980's Ma tried to find info about her Uncle Frank , a Royal Marine and she got his Service record but nothing more.
After Ma died(aged 90) I hadn't started genealogy, but eventually had contact with a descendant of "Uncle Frank"
Bitter sweet as the two male cousins whom she played with on the beach, served in WW1 and both traumatized . One committed suicide and the other committed to a mental institution
So pleased that she didn't know what happened to them as it really saddens me and I didn't know them!
