Glen
we have just done some history on our school, going back some years. I will check and see if there are any photo's that you could use on your site. Give me a few days and I will scan them for you. They might need a bit of restoration, but I m sure someone can help.

Genie fan, that's a great photo!  Look at all those little tackers, arms folded - they look so "tough"!  ;D

Here are a few of my mum's photos:
1.  1944 "Mrs Culverwell's Choir Class" (probably at Gladesville Public School, Sydney) - mum 2nd from right in front row
2.  1947 "Gladesville Girls' School, Grade 5A" - mum 2nd from right in 2nd back row
3.  1948 "Gladesville Girls' School, Grade 6A" - mum far right, back row.

Hi Prue

Glad to see some old photo's from Gladesville Public School, as I was there 1958 to 1965, and many of my school photo's were taken exactly in the same spot as your second photo. The small stairs on the left of the photo led up to an opened room/shed where the infants were made to sit and  have their lunch. Memories...............................

Hello Les  :)
I'm glad the photos brought back memories for you (hopefully happy ones!)  I know mum always speaks fondly of her time at Gladesville  :)

Hi Glen

Not sure if this one will be any good to you but thought I'd post it anyway.  It's the school my mother attended in Okeford Fitzpaine, Dorset.  Thought it was interesting because of the school bell.

And I don't know if this one is of any use. I don't know the name of the school - but it was in King's Lynn in 1916.

That last pic is awesome!

Here's one of my Aunt (little girl acting coy LOL) circa 1926.
