Old Pictures of Runcorn
« on: Monday 16 April 07 20:22 BST (UK) »
Does any one have any idea where I can get pictures of old streets and buildings in Runcorn in the 1850s onwards?

hi erin
yes fryer street still exists, its in the  old town - which as its name suggests is the oldest part of runcorn.
its a very small street - no houses as such just a couple of old buildings currently used by various support groups

Hi, why not try one or all of these books.

Runcorn the Second Selection author Bert Starkey £12.99

The Changing Face of Runcorn author Dave Thompson

Runcorn a Century of Change author Bert Starkey. £12.99

There three soft back books are full of old Runcorn photographs and available from all good bookshops - I would go for Amazon
