Houghtons in Cloonboyer, Carrigallen, County Leitrim

My grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Houghton ,(Lizzie), emigrated to the USA in 1909 on the 25th of September, 1909, at 17 years of age.  She arrived at Ellis Island October 5th 1909 and eventually settled in Detroit, Mich. 
She was born October 12, 1893, birthplace unknown.  Her parents were William Houghton and Mary Arnold.  They belonged to the church of Ireland.  Her last known residence in Ireland was Cloonboyer,Carrigallen, County Leitrim.   Her home was thought to be across the road from the local church of Ireland parish of which she was a member.  I have been told that both Houghtons and Arnolds are buried in that church graveyard. 
Some siblings emigrated as well settling in the Detroit, Mich area.  (Isabella, Margaret?, Charles)

I would love to know more about Cloonboyher.  Any information about the Houghtons or Arnolds would be wonderful!

Marylou, I have been reading some of your old post and there is a lot of information posted on Houghtons/Haughtons and Arnolds - I too have links to these family names in Ireland. There is a tomb for Charles Haughton and his wife Elizabeth (nee Arnold), in Croghan Cemetry, Killeshandra. You mentioned Carrigallen which  is very close to Killeshandra in Co Cavan
