If we were to make it London (which is brill for me - but then Bristol is also very good) perhaps we could make it at a time when we could use the LSE accommodation - usually vacation time, Easter, Christmas, Summer. Then we'd be accessible for the London Metropolitan Archives and the Family Record Centre. Maybe we could do a trip on the London Eye?

 :) :) :)

I think I would have to say YORK as I live in the North West - but hey! what about MANCHESTER, we have a fantastic International Airport, good rail links and motorway links, and four great Libraries.  There are plenty of good places to stay as well as eat & drink.

I reckon we should have it in Bury, we have a "world famous market", Black Pudding, a steam railway, and a couple of good chippies.  ;D

Manchester would be good - or how about somewhere that's not too 'cityfied' but offers a lot of interesting history - Durham - with the option of a trip to the Beamish Open Air Museum?

Paul

PS

Would be pleased to help out with organisation side, if any help is needed
