So many of you have helped me but I feel I offer very little in return.  I live in the USA so my access to original source records is limited but if anyone ever needs information regarding Catholic families of the Fylde (especially the families of Tomlinson, Gillow, Bamber, Richardson, Bradley) please do not hesitate to contact me.  I also have copies of the Catholic Record Society volumes pertaining to Fylde registers and most of the 1767 "Register of Papists".

The First Family Simon Singleton is the one
I am looking for 

Simon was the father to James, and Elizabeth

I will have to look in to the other Families,

William is certainly a possibility for the father of
Simon (glad they lived long and prospered)

Does this "Papist Returns" only apply to Lancashire?

This is possibly a great source to look up in.

I have two families of this faith but I am not sure if your Returns covered only Lancashire or the whole England. My two families are based in Northern England.

Tees,
I have copies only of Lancashire and only of the parts of Lancashire my ancestors resided in (Fylde and Wyresdale area) but I believe the Return covered other parts of England and Wales.  Check the Catholic Record Society list of publications http://www.catholic-history.org.uk/crs/#MONOG.
