Walters Family of Dorset
« on: Monday 09 April 07 18:54 BST (UK) »
If anyone is researching the Walters Family I have come accross a Family History published in 1907.
It opens with "The Walters of Portsea" in 1700 and refers to Blandford. The second part covers other branches of the family.
Please email me if this family could be of interest.

Hi Doverrog
I have walters from winterborne stickland which is a few miles from blandford does it mention anything about them.

I've returned the book to my father-in-law who is the owner. I don't know if Winterbourne Strickland is mentioned as I'm afraid I've only glanced through and not read the details.
If however you would like me to follow up I will do so next time I see him. The book is well produced and is a hard back publiction with a lot of detail.
If you think it may be of relevance then I'm certain my father-in-law would be pleased to see it go to the relevant family as it seems too good to simply re-cycle and we're sure some members of the family would find it of interest.

I'm pleased to say that the book has now been sent to a descendant of the family.
Once again this site has proved it's value.

Hi Lyndsey,
I'm sorry but I no longer have the address/details of the person I sent the book to.
I can only suggest that you post a new thread in the Dorset section and ask for Walters people to contact you.
Best wishes for your research.
