Where is North Repps.? Not in my UK road map.
Looking for the parents of Matthew ENGLAND b 1818 in North Repps .
Can anyone please help.

Northrepps is just south of Overstrand, which is east of Cromer.

I was browsing the Norfolk messages when I came across your message saying that you are researching Matthew England in North Repps.

My Englands also come from the North Repps/Cromer area although I don't have a Matthew.

If you are interested we could compare what information we have.

Doing some research for a friend,Matthew was her GGGGrandfather.
I never did find his parents, but he married Ellen REYNOLDS in Yarmouth 1846, and their daughter Alice b 1851 is the line I am following.

This is what I have for Matthew:...........
born 1818 North Repps
married 1846 Yarmouth Norfolk
Died 1868 Blything Suffolk

Hello again

I found the birth of "March Matthew England" (!!) in North Repps on 14th March 1818.
Parents John and Alice
It states mother's surname as "Strangleman?".
Father was a labourer.

The christening took place at St. Mary the Virgin, North Repps.

This is probably the Matthew your friend is looking for.

I will continue to look for connections to my North Repps Englands
