Have a look at this website www.knottingley.org where you will find some information about the Lightowler family and possibly the Townends too.  Good Luck.

Hiya Wendy,

No sorry, I haven't....I think that George's father was called Thomas & his mum may have been Mary, but that's all I have unfortunately ???  I have no idea about Mary's parents names...this is why I'm struggling, I was hoping to find them out if poss without paying for any certs...but if it comes to it - that's what I'll have to do!
