Binsted Parish Records - BOWERS
« on: Monday 29 November 04 17:16 GMT (UK) »
Looking for any information about the Bowers family from Binsted near Alton.

My ggg Grandfather was James Bowers born circa 1794 and married a Mary (surname unknown but also believed to be from Binsted).

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Many thanks cheryle.f for the information, it certainly gives me somewhere to start.

It looks like I might have to pay a visit to Hampshire Records Office in Winchester in the foreseeable future.

Thanks again and have a Merry Christmas

I am studying the same  line namely the descendants of James Bowers of Froyle 1793-1875 who married Mary Vokes 1795-1878 at Binsted in 1815
How do you fit in ?
Have you gone to the Hants Record Office to check on earlierr ancestors ?

Regards
