Alexander Hutchison and Ann "Annie" McGavin, were married 31 Jan 1804 in Dalrymple, Ayr. I am trying to find information about their ancestors and children.
ScotlandsPeople has their marriage record but apparently it does not show their parents' names. The Dalrymple OPR (a great site!) shows the marriage record with Annie's parish as "Stair" and also shows their three children, Mary b.1804, John b.1806 and William b.1808.
Our family records show John was born 19 May 1806 in Barbiston, Dalrymple, emigrated to Canada about 1833 and farmed in Quebec. Census data show his religion as Free Church Presbyterian. I am one of his 480 (or more) descendants in Canada.
I am guessing that Alexander and Annie were born about 1782 but have had no luck finding birth records on ScotlandsPeople, LDS or the Dalrymple OPR site. Any help on where else to search would be much appreciated.
